Motor Trader, the biggest automotive classifieds publisher in Malaysia and Yahoo! Malaysia today officially launched Yahoo! Malaysia Autos, an automotive channel that sits in Yahoo! Malaysia’s News portal.
The launch event was held in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and was attended by marketing managers from all the major automotive brands as well as online and advertising agencies. The Motor Trader editorial team represented the brand and explained the opportunities available with the new channel to everyone who was there.
The agreement between Motor Trader and Yahoo! Malaysia will see all contents for the channel provided by Motor Trader with their brand name prominently displayed on the page. In return, Yahoo! Malaysia has agreed to a revenue share arrangement where 25 per cent of all ad revenues booked for the new channel will be shared with Motor Trader.
The Yahoo! Malaysia Autos channel has several sections including news, reviews, motorsports, bikes and features. Additionally, special sections will be launched to cater to the needs of advertisers with the potential for additional revenue streams from specific editorials written for advertisers.
With the launch of the new channel, the Motor Trader brand is now represented in yet another portal with a huge number of visitors and page views. In conjunction with the motortrader.com.my website and an active Facebook presence (48,000 likes and counting) it gives the brand the ability to reach out to more Malaysians and become a major part of the automotive publishing and classifieds landscape.Print
